My story

On October 2004 I started my career as a professional firefighter. I’m talking dream job. The sound of sirens and red flashing lights barreling down street on the way to help someone in need interested me greatly.

My first 7 years as a firefighter was busy work. Year one consisted of working my shift then going home to study my books for the next written test as a probationary firefighter. Year two I rode on an engine company to learn to become proficient with my new skills and to prepare for what was next. Year three I started my training to become a paramedic and was transferred to an ambulance which I rode for 5 years before I could transfer back to a engine company. Now I can take a breath and slow down a little, do some things on my days off. Little did I know my classmate was going to call me with an opportunity. An opportunity to build a small entertainment center on our days off for a lady that he knew. We had fun building and learning the process of cabinet making. You know a one time gig, just something to do, a reason to hang out.

After completing the built-in cabinet our client was very happy with what we accomplished and suggested that we start a small business making them for other people. Which started my career in woodworking. Starting with cabinets and has lead into bourbon barrel products and displays.
